Event Coverage?

Is there someone planning on covering this event media wise? I am thinking of coming down, I'm going on Hot Rod's drag week the week right after, so I can't come for all 3 days, but which day is the track open for you guys? That's the main thing I'd like to see.

and maybe some extracurricular activities at night :lol: (who knows?) :)

ok, just saw on the KCIR.net site that you have it rented for saturday, that will work perfectly for me.

What day are the dyno's going on?

Dyno's usually take place on the first day...so sometime friday. As for those "extracurricular activities at night" you can count on that!

I'm always impressed with KC's 'nightly activities' I'm sure having a bunch of SY/TY's will only make it more fun! :)

a bunch of us get really drunk in the parking lot and make complete asses out of ourselves.. none of the locals seem to know anything fun to do in KC so we just make our own fun :D

At least we did last year.

It really depends on what you're used to... you can always check out my videos, they aren't from KC, but close enough (Nebraska)

Every time we go to KC we have a blast. I can try and put something together.

They've been invited, but haven't confirmed yet. It was great having Scott at Nats last year, and his coverage was spot-on. They may be watching the registration list to make sure there will be enough people/trucks to warrant sending someone from NJ to KC for a weekend. (That's a hint - if you haven't registered yet, go do it now!) They love our trucks, but they have a business to run and covering an event that has 30 people pre-registered 2 months before the event doesn't make "cents" - they could just cover NASTE meets for that and save the travel costs.

Get out and register!

Any news on this front? We've got people coming from Europe and we may have a truck in the 8's this year. Has anyone told Scott or GMHTP about this? They may not be monitoring this forum. Nats will be bigger this year with faster racing action!

There are numerous emails and calls in to GMHTP, Scott and Rick himself.

I am sure they have hear dof the 8 second truck coming from Sweden.
Let's hope they respond.

Scott knows about roberts truck as I have talked to him about it. I don't know his schedule though.

I still PLAN on coming, I'm gonna have a real busy weekend, drive to KC for this Saturday, drive back that night, then wake up sunday and drive 6 hours to Cordova for the beginning of Drag Week, lol

Sounds like it will be worth it though! I have always have a thing for sy/ty's!

It has been mentioned that Scott from GMHTP didn't show up this year, becuase he had too much fun last year and he didn't have time in his schedule.

Somone mention to me at this years Nats, that we could submit our own article for the this years Nats and GMHTP would most likely publish the article. Is anyone doing that?
