I took the top of my engine apart to ease the replacement of my distributor, clean it all up a bit, and to investigate a ticking lifter. Well I got it back together fired it up and now the thing overheats?!?!? WTF?
Any major reasons pop into your minds as to what I might have messed up? I Can't even get it down the driveway and around the block before it's 200 degrees...3 minutes tops. I took the thermostat out to see if that was stuck shut or something but nope, still overheats quick.
I installed new 93346 intake gaskets and the only thing I can imagine is that somehow they got installed wrong? Is this even possible? During install I swear I remember them lining up just like the ones I took out, so I don't immediately believe the water passages are somehow suddenly obstructed - BUT in all honesty, I did do all this late night and was enjoying a couple beers during the process
so there enters my only doubt as to how I did things. Could they be installed backwards or something?
Thanks in advance for any ideas I could chase down over here!
