I'm considering installing 96 vortec heads, stokes cam, speed pro, 65lb injectors,on my truck, has anybody passed on a dyno type emissions test with these mods? Thanks, Bill Go

well the vortecs dont have provisions for EGR so you will have to be good with the chip and use low FP but I imagine you can get it to work

I thought Roland passed emissions with his buildup, which was 75# injectors, FAST, Vortecs, and the same Comp cams camshaft.

You *have* to run the engine warmer, get the fueling dialed in to a 14.7:1 AFR, closed loop, get the cat nice and hot. Use some warmer plugs, I'd suggest TR5 for the Vortecs for emissions, TR6 at all other conditions.

Gonna have to get the calibration dialed in nice like.

My Sy passed emissions in WA state.... they test at idle (under 1100 rpm limit) and at 2500 rpm...... my first attempt at 14.7 afr, I flunked ... toooo lean.

I passed at 14.6 afr, 20 degrees timing, and electric fans coming on at 195*..... truck has no cat, yet passed with flying colors. Timing and AFR was set from idle thru 3000 rpm. Ya gotta love this SP, FAST stuff
