Ecu and engine harness swap

I'm building a turbo 4.3 to put in my 88 gmc s15 jimmy. I have a ecu and engine harness out of a typhoon and have a few questions.

1 will the harness swap work?

2 my speedo is cable driven and the typhoon is electric. will this cause a problem with the ecu? I was wanted to use code 59.

It will take alot more than just swapping the engine harness and ecm if you want to build a drivetrain only syty clone . Im assuming this is not your daily driver ?

Yes It has been done before , and no , it is not impossible .
I have not heard of one being completed ahead of schedule or under budget though .

No, Its not my daily driver. I can see some of the plugs are different. May be easier with stand alone system.
