Yep after all it was a mirrior finish, but my friend is the one in charge of the shop (he is the owner) and he said it will look even better with another coat, so whatever he says goes.
Thanks for all the positive comments guys. :D
Correction, any comments are welcomed. :p

Paint is lookin good.
Wonder why he decided to do another coat.
I guess if hes the on watching the paint flow he knows how much is there.

Any plan on how many coats of clear>?

On my cladding we did 2 base then 3 clear, just under a gallon of clear overall. AND IT SHOWS!!!

hope this convinces you to keep the truck.

Clear not too much cause in florida the sun wil crack the clear if too many coats are put on. Yes pleasse move this to the lounge so those less fortunate, ie 56k people can see and start trying other colors besides the norm.

So if I'm repainting my Sy with winter averaging about 40 and summer about 95 w/about 85% humidity in the spring and summer how much clear should I do??? Didn't realize the humidity was such a factor on the cladding part of it...

OMg... That car is a jaw dropper.... Looks fantastic... Then the body shop owner came, and point out the areas that he didn't like, which we couldn't tell... And he said flat out that this Typhoon ain't going no where...

He then proceeded to say, that it's going to get completely repainted until it's flawless. He said the reason why he is doing all this and going over board is because David will be showing off the truck and telling people who did their paint job, and david's got a BIG MOUTH.... lol....

thats bull. the only reason clearcoat would crack would be due to an unprepped or dissimilar base coat on a previous paint.

I do all my own paint work and my bother does custom autobody work and airbrushed graphics down in Florida as a matter of fact. Its not uncommon to have 3-5 coats of clear especially with a multicolor graphic. There is NO reason it should crack if its done correctly.

Truck does look great....IMO a paint job will never be perfect....some one will always be able to point out a flaw, don't care who does it.

I thought David didn't own the truck :-?

Looks perty! I soo need to paint my truck! I think after my untimely powerplant death and its subsiquent repair expense the wife would string me up if I spent another two grand on paint!

Paint looks great, I'd like to see it in the sun so the blue comes out, I bet it'll look awesome. Do you have center caps??? That would help the look A LOT.

Yep but the rims needed to be removed to be cleaned, but I think if I can sell this motor I have that will be enough to buy my super rims (which I have never seen on a syty before).

So he is gonna shoot another coat over the cladding while its still on the truck?

I'd heavily resist that if I were you.
