Do ZR-1 rims fit

If I am putting ZR-1 rims onto my phoon, do I have to do anything special to make them fit, or do they just fit right on. They are considerable wider than our stock rims, is that a problem?

If you get pissed off about the question, why even waste your time replying? Obviously it hasn't been working, so figure something else out. If you can't, figure something else out to do with your time, instead of putting down people with a fucking question.

I don't think anyone who replied to your question wasted their time by doing so. Hopefully, the response you've received will teach you to try the search function first. BTW, the search function seems to be working fine.

fyi:
"zr1" produced 65 matches using the search
"zr1 rims" produced 23 matches using the search

Geez, the natives sure are getting restless. I *think* you made your point about the search function on the first reply. Why are you torturing this guy? If he's out of line let the moderator or administrator handle it. Oh yeah, I forgot, just last week a moderator was name calling and flaming like some kind of high school dork. Not even his own forum. I thought the moderators were supposed to be the responsible, go-to people keeping the BB on the right path.

Why did it take so long for one of you nice SyTyer's with such advanced knowledge of the search feature do the search, explain how you did it, and post the results for RedPhoon. You obviously have plenty of time on your hands.

Sheesh Keith, maybe it's time for a shakeup.

I didn't see where anybody responded in a "pissed" mood as you mentioned.

All, including myself, just helped to point you in a direction to find the answer, isn't that what you wanted?

I didn't see a response like "You are an idiot, try to search button %@$%".

Purely they referenced a way to find the info, no attack nothing.

If that pisses you off, that your problem. I didn't sense ANY hostility anywhere in this thread until your response.

Redphoon,

Are you the guy that emailed me??
Your message came through as html at home and I don't know you so I killed it....

Sorry!

Pat Nunnley right?

well Pat, the zr1 wheels DON'T have the correct offset,
The wheels that you want are the
Corvette "Grand Sport"
9.5 x 17 front
11 x 17 rear
those are what I have on my ty that you saw the photo of...

you WILL need to grind away some of the upper A arm to prevent rubbing when you turn lock to lock.

The look is well worth it.
Good luck and dont mind the "children"
They are just restless.....

:D

Another way to do it is to drill a hole for a bolt in the front of the a-arm and adjust it as necessary to proper distance as to close distance between spindle stop and arm...

Old topic and pics got lost a while ago when database went down ...

You get a chance to install that air2air yet steve?

Poor Sandman, you may want to have Dennis read those posts and advise you on what constitutes flaming, since you continue to demonstrate you are incapable of doing anything worthwhile without his guidance.
