Dex to Type F

Ok, looking to get crisper shifting and dont know what was used in the trans.I know you dont want to mix the two together. So how do I flush the system , convertor and all?I know the Kooler Kleaner is good for cleaning out the lines and cooler, and dropping the pan gets that out.But the conv. is what stumps me.I know buying a new one would be best if I had the funds but if not,do I need to pull the conv.?And definately running Lube Guard when filling it up.Thanks!!!

... and I dont know where you read you cant mix them, but I run 2 quarts of Type F with Dextron III and a bottle of Lube Guard everytime I change fluid.

You can mix type F. You CAN'T mix SYNTHETIC. You'll get shudder, damaged rubber seals, glazed clutches, etc.

Hey George, why does Type F give crisper shifts? Also, is there a better easy mod to get crisper shifts than switching to Type F? Maybe a larger TV valve and/or 2-4 servo?

It doesn't get much easier than draining the fluid.
.500" TV boost valve and larger 4TH GEAR servo.
The 2nd servo made by superior breaks stuff and requires a lot of measuring to get installed correctly.
DON'T use the tv cable to adjust shift feel more than 1/8" adjustment.
