Datamaster auth code

Here is the deal, my laptop crapped out and i am trying to get a new authorization code to get my new one up and running , i purchased datamaster from andrew at akm cables about 2 years ago, the only way to contact him is via e-mail, i have tried e-mailing

him several times to get a new code and i am getting no where :roll:, What have you guys found that works? i know many people have had trouble with this, any input appreciated

I called TTS and got a new one but they were kind of hesitant it seemed. Might want to try it out and see what they say.

TTS is where i got my code as well, but i purchased from them initially. they are a little slow at responding too

I originally purchased mine directly from tts and after the laptop it was on crapped out.. I called and spoke with some older lady that gave me a the run around until we went over invoice number, date, price etc (had the receipt in hand when calling) then she gave me anothing one.. two months later that hard drive failed so I called her up again and this time she wouldn't give me another code and claimed i'd have to repurchase it which I said f you

had the same thing happen to me also. First computer too a shit. The second one hard drive died and then went to put it on the new one and they said i would have to purchase it again and i said never mind and went with tuner pro and to code 59.

a new license is only like $40 right? So if someone wants a license then someone else can share the code and save buying it brand new from TTS.

Doesn't work like that... it's locked to the machine it's installed on. I suspect it does a hash against a serial number or a MAC or something like that.

The code thing seems to only serve to thwart legitimate payers.


If the graphing/logging display weren't soo much better than TunerPro, I'd ditch DM permanently because of this. I'm in the same boat with my legal copy- when my old laptop finally gives up, I'll be out of luck.

Hopefully, future versions of TP will address the graphing thing, so this won't be an issue.

no, you misunderstood - if you buy one license for a machine then you can get an additional license for another machine for like $40 from them. I might have the numbers wrong but it means you can pay for the new laptop much more cheaply.

I do know the graphing in the new not yet released TP is better than previous TP. Several can be laid on top of each other with multiple scales, etc.

TTS keeps a record of all user names, registration numbers, authorization codes and email address' if provided by the dealer. So if you have a legit copy they should be able to directly assist you. Email works best FYI.

As for the 2 strikes and your out thing, yeh it sucks but i guess that is one way they help prevent people from sharing registered copies.
