converter slippage

Today I went to the dyno to have my new mods tuned. New mods are : PTE 51, tranny cooler, 2800 9/11 TC, deeppan. I already had the Ultimate, 255 Fuelpump, 50# ln injectors.

The guy told me that he couldn't messure my toque because there was some slippage in my TC or transmission. He said that I had too much torque for that TC or tranny. I have 375HP(wheels) now.

What can a stock tranny hold when it comes to torque and what can a 2800 stall TC hold ? It would be handy if someone can do it in Nm of torque because that is what we use in europe.

Hey Rene, whats the status of the Ty ?

Angela , connect F and A and the TC clutch will engage all the time exept of the 1st gear

No. It just locks the clutch that's inside the torque converter. Normally the computer locks it up depending on the conditions (throttle position, rpm, coolant temperature) This just forces it to lock up no matter what the conditions are. You want to manually lock it up just when you are doing the dyno run (or a run down the track) and then unlock it.

If you notice any kind of slip after TCC lock up , let it go. Your clutches then are slipping and youre on your way to rebuilt the tranny. Dont push it

Thanks for you honest opinion. In a few weeks I'll make the switch. Let you know what happened.
