Im' get the truck to run better.
starting to go into a good direction of the truck running better

IM on a old noise that hasn't really change in 15,000 miles
its a slight rattle noise that goes away with higher then idle rpm

comes from under the truck

I have taken the belt off and notice that its still there
I thought it was the timming chain
but when i got the scope on the cover I herd nothing

so its soming in the oil pan or tranny

what should i do to locate the noise?
read something at one time about bolts loose
where are these bolts and how do I get to them

Re: converter bolts

tc to flywheel bolts, you'll have to get under the truck, get the propshaft out of the way, and remove the TC inspection shield. theres three bolts that bolt the tc to the flywheel, just gonna turn the engine over and make sure they are all tight, if they arent completely tight it will make some noise.... Put some locktite on em if they are loose...

I had all 3 of mine loose and it made horrible noises on shut down and switcing from forward into reverse.

Worth a check I imagine, but I dont think its your problem unless its only one or two of them that have loosened.

Good luck finding the noise
