Codes 15 & 33, and no-start.

Welp, got a problem with the Ty.

No start situation, with Codes 15 and 33 showing on the Scanmaster.

A few weeks ago the truck went dead while on the way to work on nightshift, had it flat-bedded home. The Scanmaster shows Codes 15 and 33. I've changed both the coolant temp sensor for a new one [Code 15] and changed out the MAP [which was a new 3-bar bought last summer] [Code 33]. Still no-start.

Fuel pressure gauge shows instant 50 psi at the rail, which stays rock solid when cranking. Truck turns over but will not start.

After pulling both ECM fuses and letting it sit for a half hour, it would suddenly start, and run, for all of 5 seconds, then go dead again.

I've done an extensive search here, and have read my Chilton's manual thoroughly. I'm at a loss as to what is going on here.

Have any of you guys encountered this situation, or have some ideas I could follow-up to get to the bottom of this? I appreciate all input. I would really like to get the Ty up and running as I want to get some runs on it at the track in another month or so.

First thing I'd look at is wiring harness. Rodents suck. Check all your grounds.

How is your idle? If you give it gas will it stay running?
I was having major rough idle and dying at idle issues. One of my codes was Code 15.
I replaced the coolant sensor on the intake, fired it up...kept giving it gas to keep it alive...Took about 15 minutes of it idling to blow a shit ton of soot out of the tailpipe. Then took it out for a 20 minute drive or so and now it's fine.
Possibly/Probably not your issue, but just sharing what the Code 15 and temp sensor was doing to my truck.

Crank the engine and then pull a plug. Is it wet? If so, you have fuel. If not, pull the fuel pump relay on the firewall and then crank. (second relay from the right on the driver side, grey and orange wires) See what the fuel pressure is. It should bleed off. If not, your injectors aren't firing or perhaps something there is awry.

Also:

Disconnect the fuel injector harness then pull a plug and ground the plug to metal/frame. Turn out the lights and crank the engine (need a friend). See if you're getting spark.

If so, ign module is probably fine, if not, it's maybe a culprit. It can heat up and die so was it hot when all this happened?

How are your coolant levels? Can you do a comp check?

These are just a couple of ideas I had...

Two sensors going out at once does sound a bit funny - have you got a wiring diagram? Do those cables run close together?

Any work done on the truck recently?
