clunking noise when i turn

ok, so i bought my syclony back in october,
the guy who preveisly owned her had her in storage for most of her life. (just keep that in mind) when i drive down the road there's this noise comeing from the left front wheel it sounds like a rock or something caught in the brake. but then when i turn she makes this clunking noise, kinda like a bad axle shaft or mabey a wheel bareing. the axle shafts didn't have any grease comeing out off the boot and it looks brand new. i don't think it,s the wheel bareing because she only makes the clunking sound when turning either direction. oh ya, the brake pads and rotor are brand new aswell.

she's also leaking coolant from the radiator probaly a bad hose.

please help with what you can,

i had the same problem. pull the front drive line and lube the cv joint.

If it clunks, it's to late for grease to help. The bearings in the CV have already worn a track in the race. When you turn the bearings travels in & out of this track, hence the CLUNK.

Axle assemblies can be had relatively cheap. Go to Autozone or one of their affiliates and you can get it for around $80 + a core charge.

I have a s-10 Blazer and my had a clunking noise it was my front torsion bar mount which is located in the middle of the truck in the frame rail and bolts to the torsion bar cross member hope this helps

unless you work at autozone and get hooked up on CV axles for $40 for the sy and $30 for the honda

whats that supposed to mean #237
thanks for all the help everyone i'll keep you posted.

ended up being low on rear end lube.
the vibration was traveling up the drive shaft to the front end.

it was pointed towards where 4C FED said you could get a CV at autozone for $80..

i work there, i get stuff for almost half off...pays to work in the commercial department..instead of just 20% off like other employees, my commercial manager hooks me up with shop prices which are basically slashed in half from regular...


to make this post worthwhile, it would be probably just easier to go ahead and get a new CV....easy job to do, faster with a friend...

im pretty sure you need a ball joint seperator (try looking for one that wont damage the boots (like a pickle fork will). They have ones that are reverse clamps basically.

I think you can get away by removing the lower or upper and the tie rod end. a pain, but isnt everything. your looking at over 100 bucks for a shop to do it, im pretty sure.
