Nope. I wouldn't start buying parts just yet though. Further investigation is needed.

My money is still on axles though. You know where he bought them from? You could probably get them to warrenty them, just say you were whoever you bought your truck from :tup:

i have the same problem in my syclone,but you can hear the clunk is coming from the front driver side . as of now. i have replaced. both front axles,both torsion bar mounts,new shocks,upper and lower balljoints on both sides,new upper a-arm bushings. i even took the propshaft out. it still makes that cluck. i was thinkin it was the front diff,but still does it with the propshaft out.

It could be the torsion bar mounts.

I am going to a friend today how works at a dealership, we are going to lift it up and take a look around. hopefully I find what it is so I can fix/order some parts to fix. also the coil over suspension, how much of a difference does that make. I like the way it looks but I am interested in how well it performs, also what kind of rear upgrades are there for the suspension?

good luck with the battle. i have been chasin mine for about 5 months now.
as far as i heard about the coil over set up. it handles really well and also takes about 125 lbs off the front. only think i can think of for the rear would be a sway bar. ans maybe lower the rear a bit will also help.

ok, the battle continues.........replaced a bunch of parts in the front, the clicking is getting worse and now on acceleration there is a clicking and a bad vibration. and then anything over 60 has a vibration. i replaced both front axles so would the propshaft be next? I am gonna order the better one in the next couple of weeks, so I guess i will see what that does. I am kinda feeling like i am in the shallow end and about to walk off into the deep end......anyone ever get this feeling. like by the time aI am done the truck will have everything replaced and maybe the proplem will be fixed?

The front axle still turns with the propshaft out you know :lol: ...
few ideas I might throw out there
1. ABS sensor / dust shield.... could be clicking against the hub if it's under any kind of pressure
2. Bearings in the front differential
3. Had a brake make this noise on me once when it was sorta loose and way out of adjustment

yeah i know it still spins,but it takes some pressure off the front diff. while turning.
i still have a feeling its the front diff. maybe its worn out alot and have alot of play between the gears. as of now 95% of my front end is new. only thing i didnt change are the calipers and the diff.
care less right now seeing the truck is away for the winter months. spring comes ill battle it again. just pissed. spent all the money on the parts for nothing.
even morgan drove my truck and was kind of lost on the noise.

try with ther prop shaft out. it made no diffrence in my truck if it was in or out of the truck

My stock propshaft made clicking noises for about three days before it blew apart... but it wasn't on in reverse.. it was at extreme low speeds.
I would check out the front dif possibly

Check the upper and lower balljoints since you've done the driveaxels already.
I had this happen on the Ty. I tried using a set of cheap Autozone balljoints. Bad idea. Two of the bolts on one side must've been really soft because there was nothing left of them. Vibrated like crazy and had a nice clunk when going from rev/drive/rev kinda thing.
Check the upper and lower balljoints since you've done the driveaxels already.

well dont know what happen to mine. i took the truck out today put the front prop back in. the noise is gone. well at least for now it is.

I had a clicking from underneath at low speeds and found that the double-cardan joint of the POS stock propshaft had looked kinda funny. Upon closer inspection, one of the joints' caps looked crooked and found almost all of the needle bearings were gone!
Replaced it with a Gilbert's and all is well.
