Checking out a Bravada with Sy/Ty guts

Hey all, I thinking about taking a look at 94 Bravada with Syclone engine, drivetrain, and suspension. I know nothing about the car other than what it says, what should I look at or ask him? Any help is apprecaited. :D

1994 Oldsmobile Bravada
Syclone engine, drivetrain, and suspension.
LT1 wheels
It has other performance mods done, I have no idea what. This car is an absolute mystery to me.
257,xxx miles on body, 43,xxx miles on drivetrain.

The downswing:
The car stalls and dies if it hasn't been running for a while. The battery won't hold a charge. The battery is new and so is the alternator, so I have no idea how to fix this issue. It went to HTP to try to fix the issue, and it came back with engine issues. Another shop tried to fix these issues, and they were successful in getting the engine running correctly again, but unsuccessful in getting the electronics sorted out.

The upswing:
When this car is running, its damn fast. I seriously can't believe that this whale moves like it does. I'm guessing its a high 13 sec car (in full luxury trim, no less).

Greddy ProFec B boost controller
Kenne Bell AFPR
Walbro 255 pump
Kenne Bell cold air kit (fenderwell cold air)
Tial 38 mm wastegate on the crossover tube then vented back into the downpipe underneath the door area.
3" mandrel exhaust from downpipe back with Magnaflow cannister muffler
Apexi turbo auto timer
3.73 gears that Bravadas came with. Sy's and Ty's came with 3.42's.
New front DS when I had it.
Heat exchanger metal pipes swapped out for hose for less heat soak

He is fixing the positive battery terminal post to see if that fixes the stalling issue. Anyway, any help/info is appreciated. Im a total newb. :(

SyTy's are notorious for having these kind of issues with ignition. It probably needs an ignition module, coil, cap and rotor, also plug wires and plugs help. What kind of money do they want for it? If it is cheap, go for it. If they want alot, you're better off buying a Ty to begin with.
As for questions ... is the driveline all original (IE trans, transfer case). Any paperwork for the driveline? Regular maintenance?
And so on

What would you consider a decent price for the car assumming it runs and drives fine? Body is maybe a 6.5/10. Interior 7.5/10.

And jeez, Ive been here almost two years, do I still have to have the newb smiley?

Number of posts  ... I think when there was another truck like this on board the consensus was somewhere around $3500 for it, assuming a decent driveline. That one had a pretty good body though ... pictures?

I had a 94 that I built a few years back too. What color is it? Where are you located?

Its green and Im located its in St Louis.

Would 5k be too much, taking the all Sy driveline, engine, suspension + mods into consideration?

hahaha... thats probably my old truck! The guy I sold it to lived in MO, about an hour past St Louis. When I sold it, it needed a couple things addressed on it which I believe were taken care of by the next owner. Then he sold it to a friend and I lost track of it after that. Depending on how much it changed from my ownership, i'd say 3-4k would be reasonable. Do you have any pics of the truck?

edit: Here is a couple pics from when I owned it. http://www.blazinlow.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8448&highlight=braphoon

Yeah, thats it! It looks alot worse than when I had it. Now as for price, I sold it in good running condition, and alot nicer body for 4k (only rust was on that driver fender, but nowhere near that bad)... so that gives you a ballpark of what to offer him. Personally, I wouldn't go any higher than 3k but thats just me. Hope this helps!

How many miles did the Sy drivetrain/engine have on it when you sold it? He is claiming it has 43k on it as it sits.

Also, which of these mods did you do when you still had the truck? Im just trying to figure out if new mods are making up some of the price. Thanks man, glad you poked your head in here. :D

Current Mods

Kenne Bell AFPR

The mileage all seems accurate. The truck had 235,000 on the body and somewhere around 35,000 on the motor when I had it. I didn't do any of those mods to it, well, I take that back, I did the heater hose IC lines. but it was pretty much stock when I sold it. The gears are accurate though, that was one cool thing about it. Even still, with the mods, and the condition the truck is in, I just don't see it pulling more than 4k, but thats just my opinion. It would be cool to see it back in the community though!
