I'm curios to know what blow off valves people use and where they bought them. Just taking a survey too see any info would help and if anyone has a good ones for sale here and no Chinese crap either.

I'm going to use a stock Talon/Eclipse (90-94) on my Typhoon. No ricey noises, just a large whoosh. It'll hold 25psi if you crush it slighly.

Other option is Tial. Again, no ricey noises, just a whoosh. I had one on my last Talon. Worked very well.

Which tial? Do you use? Where is the best place to buy it? Does anyone have a picture of where the best place is to mount it on the turbo to intercooler pipe? Is that all it is is just mounted there ? No vacuum lines or electrical plugs to go anywhere

Thats what I'm running.. I ran it on my Typhoon and I have it on my clone now..

Its not the prettiest thing so I hid it on the bottom of the intake plumbing..

Stupid question but, where's the factory BOV located? Also, is it a bov from the factory or does it recirc into the intake?

www.forcedperformance.com for the Tial BOV.

There is a vaccuum line that comes off your brake booster line that would be required. Actually, anywhere off the intake plenum, but the brake booster is a great source.

Is the tial q ok for a stock set up with the 11psi spring that comes with it? And does anyone have pics of it hooked up? I will be tuning in winter and spring. Any tips are helpful with choice of bov.

Stupid question but, where's the factory BOV located? Also, is it a bov from the factory or does it recirc into the intake?

Factory BOV is on the backside/bottom of the intercooler, right by the coolant lines. Keep looking you should be able to find it....

Some people argue that a BOV isn't necessary on an automatic transmission vehicle since the throttle body is always open during shifts. It would release after a heavy throttle to no throttle though... I would think, right? ---

It doesnt matter what trans you have, a bov vents the pressure between the throttle body and compressor.When you let off the gas a cetain amount of pressure is trapped and can only be released by stoping the compressor wheel and cause it to spin backward.That is not good for the turbo bearings.I run Tials on all my truucks,even the stock ty.Turbos cost too much.

By intercooler you mean the intercooler connected to the throttle body correct? I didn't even know that typhoons came with BOVs on them stock cause I've never seen then when I've taken the upper part off to replace cooler lines with rubber lines.

I didn't think there was a bov at all on these trucks so I take peoples word for it sometimes ill give them the benefit of the doubt but now I'm questioning that sometimes. I just like to ask questions if I dont know the answer I'm gonna ask someone who maybe does. Just trying to avoid mistakes and find out what works best.

I got an HKS SSQV on mine...screeches loud as hell. I got it for free from a former co-worker of mine. Free works for me...LOL

Did you just get a flange put on a turbo to intercooler pipe then ?

I had a bov flange welded to a aluminum 90* intercooler pipe
I think its 2 1/4" the I ran a tee on the vacuum line by the throttle body
here's a pic, its a hks knockoff works good.
