Re: Battery relocation kit

Since my truck is officially off the road for the winter now, I plan to "modify" my ATR setup and make it more "user friendly". By modify I mean to make an entirely new one. Look for something in the near future from either myself or another high profle fabricator on here

I agree , my atr battery kit does suck . Couple that with their air intake and boy does it bite to remove the battery easily .

Re: Battery relocation kit

Ok would be great, but in the mean time I can't relocate my batterry.
To remove the intake shouldn't be so difficult , just one clamb to losen from the air intake

(which I made myself)

and the battery can be accessed
But keep me posted about your modifications, cause I still need one

Re: Battery relocation kit

why not just move the battery to the back?...better weight distrubution, easier to jump/change, and it clears up the engine compartment.

Re: Battery relocation kit

I am in the process of the finishing touches on a battery relocation kit. If there is enough people interested I was going to put together a group purchase. I will get pics and prices shortly. All that is left is inputing the dimensions into the plasma cutter for production and some hardwear issues. Let me know if anyone is interested in this.

SWEET, STEP IT UP

! We have quite a few folks in the manufacturing biz on here. It would be nice to see someone else helping to create an "aftermarket" for these trucks...

Re: Battery relocation kit

I am in the line for a battery reloc kit too.

I really don't want to move it to the back and I already have the Odyssey dry cell but it would still be nice to have the option to run a larger battery.

Truckless. For now.
Re: Battery relocation kit

Depending on price and when it was available, I'd be in too

NHSTE - I'm the only one!
Re: Battery relocation kit

I still vote for relocating the battery to the driver's side... same cables, easy access

And the only modification I made is moving the oil filter and rebending the lines a smidge... it's anchored to the fenderwell now (although at the moment not very securely).

Evidently, doesn't work with the stock air filter, but it let me do this instead:

Re: Battery relocation kit

That would be the one. These are fresh off the press. I am trying to decide if they should be painted or powdercoated? They could also come raw metal if you would like. I will try to get pics up before the weekend.
