Battery disconnect Pos or Neg?

I am looking to add a battery disconnect switch to my newly installed remote battery installation. Should I disconnect the positive or negative side of the battery?

The regulations are specific that you must disconnect the positive terminal.

If you disconnect the negative battery terminal is there still a chance of grounding a connection in another area of the vehicle?

The regulations are specific that you must disconnect the positive terminal.

It depends on if its IHRA or NHRA. IHRA can be either, NHRA is Positive. Negative is actually safer and more useful, I race at IHRA so negative it is, I have a circuit breaker on the postive.
