I have not started my truck in a while doing als suspension, mikes downpipe, als brakes etc..., so i am ready to play again and when i was starting the truck it backfired really loud before it really even turned over, got it to start and set the timing and went to start again a few hours later and it backfired again when i turned the key on for maybe a second? Do you think a injector could be stuck, does speed pro have a flood mode? Any thing i should check? Jack

Yes, it does.

From Craig Smith:

The only number you really need to shoot for with the TPS is to have it read 80% or higher at WOT. If the TPS reads 80 or higher during engine cranking, the ECU will enter "clear flood mode." This fires the spark but not the injectors.

It wouldn't hurt to double check the firing order.

That is something i have not touched since i ran it at the pepsi show in march and then i brought it home and parked it doing all the other mods, so the plug wires were never touched, the battery was dead, so i recharged and this is where i am at.

So if the tps is at 80 at cranking how do resolve that?

You say the battery went dead?

Just a thought, but maybe the program was damaged from the low voltage?

Try uploading the program again and see what happens.

turbo tony, i was thinking about that with the program and all, what would happen to the speedpro if it went dead, the speedpro has no memory so it loses the program? Right? It did start up and run , i would think if it lost its program it would not run, right?
