ATR 3" with muffler, not really 3"

I just got part of my exhaust in the mail today. The 3" tappers down to about 2 1/2 near the cat, why not just run 2.5 all the way back wont flow anymore than the smallest point.

Ill have the PTE52 and downpipe comming in the mail next. Is the cat on there a 3"??? If so I think I can have a muffler shop rig me up a 3" replacement for the ATR set up that way I can have a 3" exhaust.

What have you guys been doing to overcome this?

It is used to mate to the stock cat.

If you bought the 3" cat. with your PTE purchase, it will be 3" all the way.

I myself, purchased the ATR exhaust and the ATR 3" cat.

Did you purchase the cat. with the PTE kit?

If you did, then you don't need anything else.

The piece you are speaking of comes from the muffler forward to meet the stock cat.

The ATR or PTE cat. will replace this piece.

Back to the original question: if cat exit is 2.5", then why not run 2.5" pipe all the way back? Most posts say run 3" pipe from the cat...Aside from giving a different sound,do we really need a muffler(additional back pressure)? Are SyTy guys having overboost problems with cat in place but muffler deleted? Any thoughts appreciated...thanks

I've been stuck for the last 5 minutes staring at 4C Fed's dancing girl. Just thought I'd share. Does she come in color?

Looking at the booty and the motion, I think you answered the question.

But, no, I think that is the only way she is.
If you were creative, maybe you could colorize her.
