Re: Are expensive Tie Rod Ends worth it?
Although not Tie rods, I thought I'd pass this on. I have always been a MOOG guy, However, after posting a question regarding ball joints on here a couple of weeks ago, and on a recommendation, I have just bought Raybestos "Professional Series" Ball joints from Rockauto. They have arrived and are really top quality, in fact the best I have ever come across. Forged housings, not cheap stampings. If I have to buy Tie Rod ends in the future, they will be Raybestos Pro. series. They are not the cheapest, in fact they were the most expensive range Rockauto sold. I think in this case you get what you pay for and with suspension/steering thats always an important thing to consider. I'm sure the MOOG items are also good quality, but these take some beating. I obviously cant tell you how they will stand up in service yet. JMO.
