Does anyone run this kyb monomax part number?? 565064
On summit racing it says for trucks (S10, Blazer, S15, Sonoma, Sonoma GT) lowered 2-3 inches, but does not include the Syclone.

My truck has 2" blocks in the rear and was going to buy the regular monomax that everyone uses 565047(rear) and 565048(front), but these say for trucks lowered 2". Would these be better? Anyone have any experience with them?

Re: Anyone run these shocks?

I just purchased the 565064 and they should be in this week. Less than $60 :woot: I bought these becasue of the height, my truck is slammed. 3' beltech leafs and 2' drop blocks. I'll post before and afters pics when they come in.

Re: Anyone run these shocks?

If you only have blocks you dont need to run shorter shocks as the spring/shock plate does not move up. Only the axle moves up. Hope this helps.

Indeed. Look in this pic and you can see that the shock plate stays in the same location with the blocks. That allows the shock to work in its typical range so there is no need for shorter shocks.

Thanks for the info! I'll go with the regular monomax shocks, not the shorter ones.

Just installed the KYBz, drove it, they are pretty good. For the price I paid I rate them as great. $60 a pair after the man took his share (tax), and delivered to my door. They are exactly 2inches shorter than the bilsteins which is good since I'm using the 3' drop beltech leafs.

unless im a dope, this is the only link i can find where a set is just under 60 bucks.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_Car....c0.m245&_trkparms=72:543|65:12|39:1|240:1318

i might be reading it wrong, but Summit want 60 each? unless quanity 1 is actaully 2 shocks??
it also says 'sold seperately'...

...i just talked to Summit, they confirmed $59.95 each(1 shock) +shipping, but i put up the smallest of stinks, gave the guy this auction number, and he matched $19.95 each with less shipping...$49.85 out the door! their back ordered till mid Feb,but i dont care, shes in storage anyway.
