Anyone make torque dampers for the Sy Ty?

I went ahead and launched off of boost for the first time yesterday. I launched it at around 5 psi. Call me whimpy, but it feels as if doing this puts a lot of strain on the motor mounts, and tranny mount. I was thinking about adding a torque damper to the side of the engine where the alternator is located to keep the engine, and drivtrain from twisting. I've seen the GN guys use torque dampers, and I heard they help when launching with high boost. Any comments, or opinions? Im a Syclone newbie, so take it easy on me. :p

This is what they look like....

or get ahold of nallj92 on this site here. I bought one from him last year and haven't had a problem with it since, and it sure holds the motor tight and looks good too!!!

DO NOT do what was on that link...

A GN tie-down strap works perfect for the stock sloppy mounts on the Sy/Ty.

My wife's Drivers mount came out in two places here when I pullled the engine and the tie-down

strap held it in place with the mount broke.

You'll want to attatch it to the engine pull bracket located on the lower drivers front plenum. (top side)

and then down between the inner fender to where you can hook it into the actual frame. I had mine

kinda tight and it kept the engine very steady under foot brake torque launches.

You can get a strap from ace hardware.

I gave mine to a member on this board because I went solid now that I built the engine.

E-mail me if you need help,
Scott~
