Alarm Install - Starter Kill Relay

Installing a basic Viper alarm/keyless entry into my Syclone. Need to interrupt the ignition to starter wire to install the starter kill relay. Installation manual says to install the relay in the engine compartment. Any suggestions as to where to access this curcuit and what color wire?

Or ... is there easier access inside the cab? I think it would be easier to install there. If so, where in the cab and what color wire?

in cab large purple or yellow wire,it will show 12volts when in crank position
