Hello everyone,
Newb here, but I've searched and found some things about moisture in critical parts of the engine bay which helped a little but not fully.
Anyways, I washed the engine in May and after doing so, it started running with poorer performance, parked it and it's since been in storage until a few weeks ago, and to my dismay, it's still was acting that way. I changed the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and it still was acting like it's running poorly.
On the stock boost guage, I noticed at WOT that it would go to about 15psi and quickly go down to about 10psi (just guessing considering it doesn't have and real numbers to go by). The idle is also a little worse on it too.
I didn't have time to change the Vac hoses (Which I already have and may be the key here), but I did look over the engine compartment really well, and couldn't find anything that could have came loose while washing the engine.
Never had problems with washing engines on other cars, but maybe this is a sign for me to find the problem before something worse goes wrong.
Oh the car has 50k miles and is all stock except for the exhaust---no mods.
Anyone have any ideas
I guess I'll just have to wait for the next vacation to try other things to it. Thanks in advance.
