History (skip if you've goit better things to do :p ):
She was stolen from her original owner a couple years ago with 94k on the clock. The theives destroyed the column, busted out some windows, backed into something, then stole the wheels. She was taken to the police impound yard and dragged around on her cladding and brakes. State Farm totaled her out and the original owner turned over the (now) salvage title. State Farm got the title cleared after a AZ DOT inspection then sold the truck at auction to a GM speacialty car junkyard in Phoenix in December of 01. He had 4 Ty's in various states of destruction which he stole parts off of to put #0279 back together. After that he had her repainted (including painting over the orginal door logos :-? ). A couple months ago he put the truck up on ebay as a clean tiltle but people lit him up for the previous salvage status. He put it on Autotrader and I drove up to Phoenix the same day to look at it. It was a mess. It smelled like a dust storm inside...massive amounts of dirt from sitting with the windows busted out. Broken glass was still everywhere & it hadn't been washed since it was painted who knows how long ago. Alot of things didn't work right and the water pump leaked but other than that under the hood it was in GREAT condition. I bought it after a short drive for $7500. I count myself VERY lucky in being able to snag it because a couple of the board members were looking hard at the truck! If I was just a little bit later I would have probably missed out. :D I've been busting my hump on it for weeks now...my driveway was CLEAN when I got it...now look at the pics! I've finally got the mechanical list narrowed down. Of course I'm not done yet (after all it IS a Ty!) but its to the point where I can see cleaning her up and taking a few pics. Here she is:

I really like that typhoon stickers. Are they like clear and frosted or something or just white? The truck looks great over all though.

They painted over the OEM decals with white then clearcoated them. The junkyard owner gave me new gold decals but I like those WAY better than the gold ones. I just e-mailed Ron @ APE to try to get a custom glovebox badge made that matches.

Looking good.

The IC scoop looks familiar. Do you know if it is one I made, made from my drawings on nwstp, or just similar design?

Hey Trevor, the truck looks great. 8) Keep up the good work!

Man, I can't believe some idiot actually painted over the decals...but, it doesn't look too bad that way.

As you know, I was one of the BB guys looking at this truck. Whelp, I had a 'Plan B' as a backup and it is well underway. Before and after pics will be posted in the coming weeks. 8)
