Hello,

Greetings to you from the SyTy-Club E.A.S.T Sleeperz.
My name is Rouven Ernst.

On the first SyTy-Meetings in 2001 and 2002, wich where a great success,
many of the visitors used their chance of changing technical informations and hidden tips.
You could have met many interessting people but much more you also could
have seen many unbelieveable Syclone and Typhoon.

Who tought that there where so many lovers of this kind of cars.

To get more experience and kontakts, to create a SyTy-Scene of europe and to make
the new meeting 2003 also an great event, we would be very pleased if some guys
from all over europe get their way to us.

I could imagine that it is not easy to find SyTy-Drivers in your neighbourhood,
so it is to us.


Many ineresting people, many interesting cars.
Talk about experience with other Syclone and Typhoon Drivers across europe.
This is the SyTy-Meeting 2003.
The event will start at 07.June (Juni) 2003 in Zürich (Schweiz).

Just checked it. It would be more than 1000km for me. Only way to do this is towing the Sy there. So I should get a tow rig, a trailer and a person, who has a license to drive it (that's managable). Well... Don't think so. Maybe without the Sy...

Ryan! Could you get some info on this? Is there any agenda so far?

I really don't know more than what the e-mail said...but I've heard rumors of getting a track to run at. What kind of special licenses do you have to have to tow a trailer? I don't imagine that you'd need much more than a pickup....oh wait you europeans don't believe in pickups! hehe...seriously though where would you have to go for tow equipment?

In Hungary you can't tow anything with a passenger car license, where the whole stuff's weigth over 3500kg. Anyway, my stepfather would be more than happy to come with me, so that's not the problem. I could also rent a trailer, no serious money involved. But I don't want to buy a vehicle for this reason alone. It should be a larger pickup (rare thing around) or a SUV. An appropriate SUV would cost me somewhere near to $4k. Imagine what kinda mods could I buy for this money for the Sy. :wink:

Falco 1000km is nothing, i think you should drive over there. Back in Sweden i used to drive back and forth to my home town from STHLM over a weekend, that was a 960km one way.

You are right, 1000 km is not that much. Can be done in day. But I don't want to put that kind of milage into the Sy. That's near to she gets in a usual year. I'm thinking on it, so it's not decided yet...

ok guys!

BadTy and I had a meeting on sunday. I'm working on a website that will provide all the information about this years gathering in Zurich.

Besides the gathering (BBQ and Beer organized by BadTy's wive again) there will be a "best of show" contest like last year, a WELL organized cruise (about 20 to 30 Km's - we will try to shoot some pics off of a bridge over the freeway when 3 lanes of SyTy's are cruz'n by!!!) and a Dinner at the hotel were our intl. Friends are staying at.

For the intl. guys from last year: We picked a way closer hotel now. http://www.starsandstripes.ch and it is in style too!

FALCO: There is a car train from Vienna to Feldkirch. I can give you detailed information on that if you would like to save miles on you odometer. I've traveled to Budapest many times using this train, just make sure you get a place in the trains restaurant!
BadTy used this train to ship his Ty to Vienna for a rebuild. when his engine died last year.
Takes about 8 hours over night and another 1,5 hours from Feldkirch to Zurich on the freeway. Attention: Early reservation required!

About 5 guys from Berlin will be using train to get to Zurich too.
The french guys well be driving. The spanish guys probably too!?!

We had 43 Ty's last year. Let's top that this year guys!!!!!
