as some of you know my truck is in Seattle but I'm in NY for school...My tranny is dead after blowing it racing a 60's shortbead big block after a local car show...this all happened over year ago so the sy has been sleeping for that long...i came back to seatown for 2 weeks as i have a break. Was tinkering with it and have figured out how to work the trans although its almost totally shot...i start in first, throw in Neurtal, then drop into drive and i have all my gears...other than that, it won't work at all...LOL.....so i take it out on the freeway to see if my OD will work and as i merg on from the onramp wouldn't you know there is a RT in the lane i was going to merg to...Not wanting my truck to shift down hard or at all l slowly lay into it...thank god i had OD cause at 110mph the poor laggering V8 was at least 6-7 cars back and I just kept seeing him try to keep up but my keep pulling...guy rolls up later and says "awesome truck"...thumbs up to him as well...
Now i'm heading home and not wanting to run into anything that is fast as i can't launch my truck and of course from a roll isn't our best game....i run into a new L...was like damn, now the laugh is on me as i have a toasted tranny, can't launch, and was messing with my alki wich was bogging my truck...he revs as he drives by and i'm not wanting to but can't refraim from trying...from a 30 roll he hit it fist, then i go...i get the down shift and i'm gone...he got the initinal jump as he went frist, then i reeled him in like a fish and waved as i went streeming by with my turbo...at about 85 we let off with me at least a car on him. Of course he's pissed and flys by then revs. as he goes by...what a joker..guess i'd be pissed to with a new L getting smoked by a sy with a dead trans, and in need of some alki tuning badly. I actually had the alki off as it was hurting my performance.
