Hell, shouldn't we get the 2003 Nats Planned first ;)

Why not, according to the lastest history, most of us West Coasters do not plan on ever attending the NATS, at least this is closer for us. I did attend the NATS in '98, and never again....ruined a perfectly good paint
job.......and WAY to far, at least for me.

Best regards,

Yea, driving to the Nats from the West Coast sucks. My Impala had Grasshoppers in the grill the size of twinkies. I drove through some hail too there is a lot of construction on 80 in the summer. Too many miles for something bad not to happen to your truck. The Nats are cool though, a lot of trucks and some fast ones, it's cool to see what other folks are into. But if I ever take my Typhoon to the Midwest I'm gonna have to put it in an enclosed trailer or something.

Okay - so is the left coast planning on having their own Nationals?

If you are - why not have a 2003 Left Coast Nationals?

I actually wouldn't mind going.

Some questions:
What's wrong with November?
Why not start planning a Meet in Vegas for 2004?

Positve's about having it in Vegas in November:
http://www.semashow.com/sema/V33/index.cvn?id=10001&p_navID=3
It's the weekend after the SemaShow.
A lot of syty guys might be there already, ie. Planning one Vacation.
Everyone who's anyone in the auto industry will be in town that week.
The track is awsome and we can problaby plan AutoX and dragracing.
Hotel's are all over and i'm sure we can get good rates.
The bars/casinos NEVER close.
The weather in Nov. is awsome
More West sytyer's will show up, hopefully some truck that we've never seen before.

Negatives about Vegas:
Less trucks might show up.

I can't think of any more Negatives, i'm for having it in Vegas.

I'm going to start planning this after the holidays are over.

I edited the title of this post.
Wanted to make it clear that this is planned to be THE ANNUAL NATIONALS not just for the west coast guys.

2004 Nats...

2004 Nats...

I agree with the guys that it's time to have the Nats somewhere other than the middle of the country. Some of the other car clubs rotate through a few different locations year after year. And Vegas is an awesome place to be. The track isn't too far. SEMA is heaven for any car freak. We can partner with the Grand National guys and have some fun there. And for those that bring significant others, there is plenty of stuff for them too that's not truck related. As for the West Coast people, who knows who will show up. Some people just don't make the effort. And by no means should this event be catered to just the Left coast people.

So count me in.

I've always been a proponent of bi-annual Nats. 1 in the spring (left-coast) and one in the fall (right coast). But whatever...I won't be there...but that's due to some other circumstances.

I will attend west coast nats in 2004, and my roomate is in. Its like 5 months after I get out of the Marines and move back to PA but im leaving my truck here with my roomate then picking him up in october when he gets out and staying in vegas for a little while till the nats and driving back. If anyone needs help planning, I can help as much as possible. Even though Mike Renz is from PA I think he will show up. Im getting the strangest feeling he has a crush on me or something.

i'll go to vegas...but i'll be much more interested in gambling and drinking all day than looking at syty's. Too much to do around there.

I'm sure phoonerorlater will already be there eloping with one of his don't ask don't tell marine buddies.

A motorhome roadtrip would be a cool way to get to Vegas. Driving the Ty from Chicago to Vegas and back won't be happening. That is unless, I get a Yukon and a trailer, but theres no chance of that happening.
