Seattle, WA friday dec 17th food

I'm Bill, and I've only been around for a couple months now. I bought my Sy in October. If you see a Sy in the Fife area, probably me since I work around there. Possibly in the Federal Way area as well, but I remember seeing another Sy there like the day after I bought mine heading north on...

    steering box adjustment

I was able to do it with the help of a 3 ft long extension. I used that, and a swivel socket to break the locking nut loose. Then I reached my boney little arms down the front of the engine with an allen wrench in hand and turned adjuster screw (clockwise to tighten). Then with the big...

    Gear drive timing set

    1. I think a Small Block timing gear set works for 4.3's 2. gear drives have more slop in them than chains. Your timing will not be as accurate. 3. gear drives use up about 5-10 hp to drive the damn things. I'd say stick with chains.

    Center console - Higher armrest

When I bought my Sy, it had a custom built armrest made with the same material as the seat covers. When it's installed, it looks really good, and is alot more comfortable. Unfortunately there's a few things I didn't like about it. It made it alittle harder to shift, cause it sat higher than...

any one have a pic of this

The one I bought from the GMC dealer that I had to "modify" only cost $40. The plastic was alot better quality than the original. Yeah, it doesn't fit right, but it still does fit. You have really bend it to get it back on, and it rubs against the front swaybar, but it still does the job...

    Street Tire

If your looking for something that's strickly straight line traction, get something with a lower speed rating. Therefore the sidewall will flex easier and grab the pavement better. Also, Nitto makes a drag radial in the factory size if all your looking for is launch traction...

    Street Tire

160 is pretty damn soft! GY Eagle F1's - 280 Mich Pilot Sports - 220 BFG GF KDW - 300 Things to look for for total dry handling: -tread pattern (bigger tread blocks = more surface area = more dry grip) -tread wear rating (lower number the softer, more dry traction. They would also warm up...

    0 to 60 DRY?????

G-Tech Pro is the way to go. I borrowed one from a co-worker to see what my Fiero ran. It's pretty damn accurate. Starts the clock precisely when you take off and stops at exactly 60! It's really sweet. I need to get ahold of that again to see what my Sy runs. Anyway, just let you know...

    Street Tire

Goodyear Eagle F1's Michelin Pilot Sports BF Goodrich G-Force TA KDW These are probably the main three that'll offer the best overall wet/dry street traction. All three are available in the stock 245/50/16 size. All have a Y speed rating (186 mph). When I finally get enough money, I'm gonna...

anybody run a 275 (front) 335 (rear) combo?

I think it'll probably work, but it'll also probably reduce the life expectancy of your transfer case.

    Engine temp gauge

I just bought my Sy a month ago. I thought the exact same thing as you. I bought a new thermostat (195) and threw it in to find out that I had a 160 in. and just like yours, it climbed alittle but not much. Mine now floats just below that quarter line. So yep, they suck!

    Plastic Skid Plate

My old one looked like that. Now it looks like that, but in a dumpster. The new one is kinda similar. Same basic shape. I had to cut off some huge chunks though. The plastic was thicker and better quality. That's partially why it was so hard to put on.
