The instructions say to mount this over the stock a-pillar...who has installed these directly without going over the stock pod? Good idea, bad idea? I got the one from LMC Truck, so I need to paint it as well. What is the paint code for our interior dash?

Re: why no ABS? I thought that when ABS failed, you just got a "normal" brake...from the way you are describing it, when it fails...you have zero brake.
