I got it almost 3 years ago now from a local guy who had it 3 weeks. He got it from Atlanta. I did have cylinder head issues with it last year and did post it for sale out of frustration. Up until today I was under the impression that a factory replacement motor was installed at a dealership in 2003. It looks like the dealership installed a motor with a built bottom end. I don't know the story behind that.

i just realized that your decided to tear apart the motor.did you buy that truck in late 05 or early 06 from someone else in pinellas county?im pretty sure i remember that truck being for sale on here a few years ago,and it listed that it had a recently built engine but was having problem with the heads for some reason if i remember correctly.

The only symptom I had was the cruise control wasn't working. I just went in looking at all the vacuum lines one day and found the hose just laying on the lower intake.

Mine would drive fine. The light wouldn't come on until it idled for a minute or so.

vacuum leak huh? Where was the leak for you, and how did you find it ? The check engine light has been a huge pain. What other sympotoms were you getting? Thanks for the reply Man.
