    3.5 downpipe

yes, the velocity would decrease and you would not make as much horsepower. a 3.5" would be way too much and you'd never get it to fit the stock bolt holes anyway.

    3.5 downpipe

for what turbo? the stocker would do best w/ a 2.5" mandrel bent down pipe. it would spool faster with a 3" but would make less power. i believe that we have a 2.25" dp from the factory. rule of thumb is to match dp diameter to the exhaust outlet diameter.

Anyone have experience changing a timing cover?

it isn't difficult at all. you need to remove the crank pulley and harmonic balancer as well and you'll need a puller to do so. i don't remember how long it took me to tear it down that far. it took about 6 hours to change the timing chain and i had to take the timing cover and water pump off...

    manual rear wheel cylinders

they were all bendix b/c the dealership doesn't like to stock many common parts for some reason. list price is like ~$60. the line cost $250 to replace :o at a local shop. i should have done it myself using teflon -03 aeroquip. it would've been way cheaper.

    Convert 94-97 S10/15 to Sy/Ty

you need to start out with a 4x4 s-10 for the AWD. the output shaft is different on 2wd and 4wd th700r4s. or you just buy a syclone.

finally done with a project. carbon fiber

you would know adam, you played with enough carbon. ian- did you make a mold or just cover them like a cheap ass. you know that making a mold for something like that wouldn't be too difficult. looks good. i'd make stuff out of the carbon-kevlar i have, but i have no way to cut it.
