Finally tuned my truck on the dyno last night

Not really a fair comparison... mine was on the ultimate @ T1-20. While our 60' times are the same (probably due to you stall?) 8.002 second 1/8mile times on 112 fuel; stock motor, turbo, intake and stall.

Finally tuned my truck on the dyno last night

Cool to see some real dyno numbers. With the C16, definately run more timing (assuming KR is not a problem). What were your 60' times @ the 8.13 1/8th? I think you should be a couple of tenths faster with over 300 to the real tires (275hp +/- should get a 8.10 1/8th). With your mods & tuning...

Looking for a quick way to cool down in the lanes.

Just a hint... Try all the above with a 2.5 gal manual spray water tank to spray your radiator while the electric fan (& pump if applicable) is running. This will lower the temp big time - before you get back in the staging lane.

    Bye Bye thirteens

You have gone 7.80s on stock everything? What did you do to it , high boost?, shed some weight? Just curious. Not to hijack this thread but 8.002 with the ultimate t1-20 setting, drop in filter and safety mods. 60K original build, turbo, downpipe, ic and factory exhaust (w/ cat deleted)...

    Bye Bye thirteens

Sounds like your truck will be a monster when tuned. I know you are not looking for 1.7X and 8.00 (1/8ths) - I have consistently done this with stock EVERYTHING (7.80's and very low 12's documented on numerous timeslips - with a little help). With my stock setup 8 psi yielded best 60' & et. I...

    tune up

If you have checked all other electrical issues, try changing the iridium plugs. On my stocker, knock and ET increased with the UR6IX's. After 45 minutes I switched back to the UR5's. Knock went away... as did .3 sec in the 1/8th. Almost new set for sale if anybody is interested. Buck

Being you work with NX ... what kit / setup are you running on your Sy? A small shot goes a long way. Buck

    G-tech pro. anybody use it?

I have the old version. It is within .1 second on the et compared with timeslips. The mph is generally higher because the G-tech reads the actual speed at 1320 ft instead of average provided by the track. Good tuning tool. I am curious how easy the new version is to swith from one vehicle to...

    Ty 1240 Build results

Congrats on the investment and hard work. Should scream when you get the tuning complete. Looks like E-Rue may have competition for the fastest Sy in the state. How is the driveability and lag with the stock converter? Buck

    New best time

The 7.80 pass was the first time I have ran the N20 at the track. Without nitrous, it runs pretty consistent 8.00's on the T122 setting. (I have not had any luck with the T2 or T3 settings.) From my experience, a slight increase in boost level makes a significant difference on the top end...

    New best time

Thanks. I have been trying to get into the 7.99's for several months and have been stuck @ 8.002. Mods are the usual recommended safety for a stock truck - Walbro, afp, hotwired intercooler, etc. Besides a fresh tune (plugs, wires, cap & rotor), everything else is stock: engine with 62K...

    New best time

Went to Northeast Dragway on Saturday. Finally some cool conditions. Ran a best of 7.804 @ 86.59 w/ 1.75 60'. Buck

Syclone in or near Elizabeth City N.C.

Syclone in or near Elizabeth City N.C. That was my truck (SY 1373) at Northeast Dragway. Thanks for the props on the condition. Serious boost creep at anything over a 0 psi launch that night resulted in 8.40's. Last trip to that track netted consistent 8.002 - 8.005 (but I couldn't buy a...

Ticking started after Overboost, Need Help - Video Link

One other possible fix? While I don't know if you have enough clearance, on small block Vortec heads I have pinned the stud in similar situations. Try to get the stud back in place then cross drill a small hole and pin in place with a roll pin, tempered carter, etc.

    STG Ultimate Install

With the ultimate I still need to utilize the stock chip? Didn't get that from the directions - guess that could be my problem. I need electronics for dummies instructions. The 3 bar sensor connections have been rechecked. Thanks - Buck
