    She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs

Re: She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs Newer 2nd gen ABS modules are quite a big larger than SyTy units, especially since the one I'd get rid of has a built in P-valve. I'll weigh it when I take it out.

    She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs

Re: She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs 2nd generation S-series trucks are heavier due to their stronger ladder type frame along with more safety features. I'm looking to get rid of a few of these crossmembers, especially around the back half under the bed. I just took the past hour or so to...

    She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs

Re: She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs Great idea here, that was actually my next purchase. Looking for a simple 2" cowl hood and found one made of fiberglass on eBay. Any idea on how much weight the hood will shave off? Forgot to mention that the battery is in the bed, it's a small #25 model...

    She's a fat lady! Project <3165lbs

3783lbs with me in the driver seat. Shoot off ideas you guys have for shedding 618lbs without touching the interior except for race seats. Project truck is a 2nd generation 4wd S10 regular cab turned Awd with an all aluminum 5.7L LS1. Crate motor weighed 430lbs complete with wiring harness...

    torsion bars

Re: torsion bars Do you drive a black Ty? I've seen one in the Woodbury area a couple of times and it's a gorgeous piece of work. Nice to see another Minnesotan. Anyway, just to add to what's already been said, make sure to have the alignment checked after touching the torsion bars...

    fullsize/ upgraded front diff?

Re: fullsize/ upgraded front diff? The ZR2 front differential is said to be "enhanced" from GM but it's still the same 7.25" high pinion IFS differential. I'm not sure what makes it enhanced or not but you'll break many things prior to the front differential. Remember the front is only...

Re: 3.42's Now Available for Dana 44! Here's some info about a Dana 44 rear rebuild. If for some reason down the line the link doesn't work, it's in the Tech Section of Pirate4x4.com. http://pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/D44_buildup/D44.htm

3.42's Now Available for Dana 44!

Re: 3.42's Now Available for Dana 44! Link seemed to work when I tried it. Both yours and mine linked to the same place. Not sure what happened or why it would, I haven't checked this thread in a while. Angel how's the Dana 44 coming? Just wondering if there are any updates.

3.42's Now Available for Dana 44!

Re: 3.42's Now Available for Dana 44! Hey Angel I just read this post above mine, and I see that you're leaving your truck a 4wd. I'm curious as to how you plan on making the 53" CJ axle you PM'd me about work, since the rear in a 4x4/Sy/Ty non ZR2 is 59"? Any ideas or thoughts on that? 3"...

    2 wd conversion.

Re: 2 wd conversion. Just out of curiosity, why turn an awd vehicle 2wd? If it's a 1/4 mile terror you want, you would get more from selling your Sy/Ty than it would cost to buy a 2wd S10/Sonoma/Blazer/Jimmy.

Who's got the Black Syclone in MN?

Re: Who's got the Black Syclone in MN? When you guys do, would you mind another S-trucker to join in on the fun? I might not be turbocharged, but at least by then my Sonoma will be LS1'd and AWD. :D
