It shouldn't be much but alot of rain and wind where I'm a. Thought about going to Austin to wait it out but the traffic isn't worth it.

I'll take -35 weather in the winter over a hurricane anytime. Good luck to all that have to put up with that stuff though.

my thoughts go out to all of you in the south effected by the storm to come, it looks bad from the satelite pics and weather reports, tehy are calling for a 20ft wall of water when the storm reaches land and over 50ft waves! Good for surfing bad for everythign else!

Ike gave us some nice 1-3ft overhead surf. Unforetunatley, when the storm is on top of you, theres no way to surf.

Right now, Central TX is cranking 10-15ft surf right now and progressively getting worse and out of control.

weather dot com just said possibly a 20-50 foot wall of water coming ashore at the northeast edge of the storm.

Better get the hell outta dodge if you are anywhere near the galveston coastline.

I'm almost 100 miles away from Galveston where is supose to hit. I knida wan tto go see my buddy in Austin, but the traffic is going to suck.
