Any new news dave. My dealer is haven there christmas party the 15 but i will ditch it i just was curious if you have hammered out a date??

no not yet, campbell auto took their sweet time getting my head parts shipped hopefully i will have the parts monday and can drop off the heads. last time i checked the machine shop was 3 to 4 weeks out, ill call and find out but it looks more like end of the month. ill post some more info tomorrow.

dropped the heads off, so it should be a couple of weeks waiting on them. the cam should have showed up last week to the engine builder so hopefully the motor should be here in about two weeks i would guess.

talked to chris and he said the motor is done and he picks it up tuesday and will have it shipped no later than the end of the week. The head porting guy has one job in front of mine and i believe they should be done in about 2 weeks. So probably middle or end of february. Will that work for everyone.

do you guys want to try to plan an area meet in the spring, summer or fall sometime this year. Maybe try and get some tri state area people to meet in tulsa for a day or so. Or if you guys know of a better location with more to do etc... what do you think

well hopefully everything will be here by next week, then i can start planning everything. I want to do some cleanup on the engine bay first and then some of the small engine bay stuff. I think troy and i will assemble the long block and set it in and then have a get together to finish bolt ons and startup, tuning etc.. Will also be doing a rear disc conversion. I'll keep you guys posted.

Sounds good Dave... just let me know when you need help.... there's also a new guy over your way (Dmetri) that's asked for tuning/tuneup help.

I missed the previous post on the get-together....I'm up for that anytime!

I talked to chris again and he promised the engine would be here next week, so when it gets here i'll probably try to assemble the long block and then plan on having a meet. I still need to do lots of clean up in the engine bay, wiring etc... I tore down the old engine and all i could find was 2 tore up main bearings, one was part way spun around. I dont think the extra power had anything to do with it, i guess it was just its time.
