Well that sux to see!

When mine ate the crossover tube like that I only had 3 fins that showed bending and no pieces mia.

Just an FYI all the pieces of the compressor blades that are missing went somewhere...
More than likely they were ingested into the motor at some point.

I would listen very carefully when you go to start it back up and make sure you aren't gonna hurt something for more expensive than a turbo.

Wow!!! How big of a chuck of the crossover broke off, that looks ugly!

I have a stock turbo sitting in my garage, I'm just not sure if I can part with it.....

Yikes!

The pieces, such as they are, are prolly sitting in (on?) the inlet side if the IC. Stock IC? Try to blow some compressed air at reduced pressure back across the IC from the TB side. Anything that got through has prolly already gone through the engine and not hurting anything. If it starts and runs normally I'd bet you're OK. 'cept for the turbo itself of course.

It was a fairly large piece, i was sitting in the truck with it idling when it happened. I instantly knew something was wrong so i shut it down and removed the tube to check in there. There was still a piece of it in front of the turbo, i removed the hardpipe and found parts of the impeller blades there. This sucks because i just spent a full day polishing the truck to get it on the road and now this happens, I'm glad it didn't happen under full boost but either way I'm screwed. If you change your mind on the turbo Cam I'm interested.... :tup:

Looks just like what happened to mine, first day taking the ty out, and the crossover broke.

Wow is that what it looks like when the crossover pipe pices get sucked into the turbo. I was real lucky. When I bought the truck I took the crossover pipe off right away. Sure enough peice of it broke off as I was doing so.

Does anyone out your way have a stock turbo to sell? I am thinking about getting the one posted in the parts section here but i would rather have one with less miles.....
