ADDED:My son had surgery and my wife is having surgery Monday so I extended the GP a little so you guys will get more opportunity to contact me. Sorry to anyone trying to get ahold of me. The family is just having a really bad time right now.

I know it's tax return time and I'm getting a lot of requests for these so I'm running another gp.I'll let it run through the middle of May. The last GP I ended up losing money on after CC fees, paypal fees, gas running back and forth, etc. Believe it or not it's a 1hour and 15 minute drive to where I had these made and there was at LEAST 15 trips till the end of the GP. These will run $655 each. There is NO MINIMUM in this Group Buy. I will make up any difference. I just want to make these available to those that want them for their projects.

Billet 32 spline input shafts for the BW 4472 transfer case.
Here's some pics from the last GP batch.
These are to be used with 4x4 4L80e output shafts or TH400 shafts using an advanced adaptors plate for them. The th400 plate and the 4l80e's are close but different on the back end. These are also compatible with my syty 4l80e installation kits as well as Mike Lee's plates he sells(his plates are aluminum and thicker as opposed to my steel plates that are thinner.

The transfer case. This is the input shaft for the syty BW4472 transfer case so it can mate up directly to the back of a 4x4 4L80e using my kit or Mike's plate for guys trying to piece their own stuff together. Those are the comparison pics between my piece and the stock 8620 piece. My piece is of a tad more exotic alloy. I've given out a lot of info on it already but prefer to keep some details to myself. Even the machinist and heat treat guy was surprised I gave as much info as I did already. Go to primegears.net/gallery to find a full teardown for the BW4472 transfer case to see how it all fits together.

I just stuck the two shafts in anything that would hold them up so I could get a pic showing the comparison if you are talking about those pieces underneath them. These are beyond GM tolerance. There is zero slop and they slide right on. If you put grease on the splines, it will actually "pop" when you slide it on it fits so well.

This is the 2nd GP. Several of these are out there being used already and this has proven to be MUCH stronger than the turned down 27 spline counterpart.

I never fully understood why GM spec'd a 32 spline output shaft for the BW 4472 but NOT the input shaft. Now this material is MUCH more expensive than 8620 so it's possible that it wasn't cost effective for them to do a 32 spline input because it would've required a whole new front half cover for the T-case since the 4472 isn't modular like most of the NVG and NP setups so they could retain the same shaft material. On an NVG and NP you can swap the cover ring and bearing so you can do different input shaft configuration. The 4472 you can't. It's really sad because this case has held up deep into the 8s and hopefully we will soon see 7s. I wholeheartedly believe we will see 7s THIS year.

Bump. Added Rob to the GP. Still 7 spots left. There is no minimum buy in but I'm limiting interest on this to 10 total due to money I have to put up front.

George, If I were to get into this, Can I pick this up at homecoming to save on extra costs on shipping to Canada? I still would pay what you have posted, just trying to avoid extra shipping to Canada.

Just to be clear, I have the kit already, so the shaft that came with the kit that goes into the 80e is not needed no more, correct? If so, are you interested in buying it back at a fair rate?:lol:

Also, do you want a deposit, or full payment??

George, I am very interested in this. Just that I can do 1/2 payment now and remainder at completetion. I will publically say that I will take one and will not back out no matter what happens on my end if we can do it this way. I know you have run into problems with others, but from my past dealings with you I hope that its enough proof that I will not let it be your problem!! If you are cool with that, great.Just pm me your details for payment. Regarding the 27spline 80e shaft, we can work something out if you are interested. Thanks.


I just want to have basically a bullet proof tranny since I love to romp on it the few times it comes out!! hahhaha

Guys, just an FYI, there are some incredibly neat projects going on out there. The last one wishes to remain secret. AWD LS1 conversion into a very "unusual application". He promises I will get some video and pics once he's all done and ready for the unveiling. The 4472 appears to be becoming the transfercase of choice for project vehicles.

These are getting the finish grind now (the bushing surfaces are trued in this process), and they will be DONE! I should have them in my hands by Friday. I will update at that time and start shipping everything out.

if you have any extras a friend of mine is building a syclone with a 1400hp SBC and 4l80e. Let me know and i'll put him in touch with you. I told him about these, and it's definately better then the re-splined route.
