was at a light next to a gto 6.0 and jumped on it just in case he tried. only got to the speed limit and saw he was not going to play and all my gauges shut off like the car was off. lights still worked but the odd thing is the low turbo coolant light came on and stayed home for the rest of the drive home. still runs and drives fine but no gauges work, the low turbo coolant light is on and there is a buzzing like the key is in and the door is open.

did not check anything as it was 2am went i got home but will check fuses first. sounds like a ground came off or ecm issue?

any one got a clue?

That would be my guess is a bad ground. When i got my first system in my S10 the asshats wrapped the 00 gauge power wire around my header and when it melted through the cable i got the SAME thing. Gauges went dark, key in ignition with door open sound happened but the truck still ran.

Problem = Driver

How long have you own these trucks, man i thought he knew it all.

I'm not sure fusable link would cause it, this one would take out all lights, igintion, interior light.

Did you check all your fuses.

i have had it happen personally, lights work, thats about it.

bypassed the fuseable link, and BAM, back to normal.

ps: if this is the case, dont just put a piece of wire into there, put a little regular blade type fuse holder like the intercooler pump has.

When i used to drive my truck this fuse blew more than 2-3 times a week. I got so good at changing it i could do it while driving in the dark by feeling which one it was. it's your fuse labeled ign/gau. everytime I blew it i had the exact same problem you said.

The electrical in these vehicles never fails to amaze me ( in a negative way ). Makes me wonder what we all have in the future , lol. The 67' needs a complete rewire.... but 40 years later ;) ---
