Was cruising right along and looked down and noticed I was at 199,998. Thought it was kind of a monumental event but unfortunately I did not have my camera with me. Oh well.

Every time I get in the Ty I think it needs more miles... I'm only clocking about 139k or so

Wow, in a FREIGHTLINER?? That IS something. No problem for a Pete.

And for really high millage it's a KW. :rotf: Went to the ATHS national meet in Colorado Springs last summer. I didn't count but I'd guess there were more old KW's than old Pete's. Used to own a '65 Pete and '51 KW. Given a choice I think I'd rather driven the old KW. Drive a '96 Pete now, nice truck. Especially compared to 25 years ago when I had my own trucks. Company I work for has the '96, couple of 2004 Pete's, a 1998 Ftlnr, and 2006 KW. The keep them all in top shape. Nice fleet. Oh yea, my '86 Bimmer beater has 220,000 miles.

Check this out. All wheel drive, crew cab.

When i was 12, i got to ride in '68 Ford cabover. I could not see the road, my eyes bounced so much. How could anybody drive those things??

Pete, KW, Freightliner same truck, diffrent cabs

To a large extent that's true. Cummins or Cat engines. Fuller trans. Rears fuller or Rockwell. Peterbilt and KW are both owned by Pacar. It's been years since I bought a truck but I think the price points are still Freightliner, Pete, KW. With KW at the top.

You would be amazed at how quiet and smooth big trucks are these days. The '07 KW where I work is like driving a car.

Talk about some heavy stuff, I had Truck Powertrain a few courses ago, and a Fuller Roadranger trans is in the 750lb area. Big stuff to work with, but its cool how its packaged so tight. Single disc clutch systems, double disc with potted flywheel, rear ends, auxillaries, it was all covered. Very interesting class.:2cents:

By the experience I've had, 200k means what, about to get your fourth rebuild?

Yeah something like that. Im on my 3rd trans and 3rd motor. Although there were some serious complications with the second motor. But yeah, the truck is kinda falling apart. But I just keep putting it back together.
