Battle Bars & Bell-Tech 3" Springs Installed Pics

Here are some pics with new Battle Bars, Bell-Tech 3" Lowered Leaf Springs, & QA1 12 point adjustable shocks.

Seem to have some bottoming out with these springs. I have adjusted the shock a bit stiffer but wondering if i should take out the small spacer and just place the stock wedge on the top spring. Any one else have ride issue with bottoming out.

"by spacer i mean the plate that comes on the top of the bell-tech springs" maybe 1/4 or bit more?

Yea mine bottoms out as well, with just me in it. I only notice it over certain bumps though. I am using kyb monomax shocks. Haven't really looked into it as it just makes me drive a little slower. The qa1 shocks you got do they have the coilover on it as well or just the shock. I think if the coilover is used it would add a little more stiffness and prevent the bottoming out.

Starting to wonder if I shouldn't use blocks on my Belltech springs now...

How much did it lower your rear? Normally its 1" for the Ty.

You could try and remove that plate but I doubt it will help. The progressive bump stop sounds like a good idea. I would think you could also use the stock overloads in the Belltech's to help.

Well i am going to buy a diffrent bump stop from energy suspension to make the bump smaller by a small amount and may take the plate out which should give me a 1/2 to 3/4 more clearance.

The springs ride great and i don't want to make it any stiffer unless @ the track racing.

I will post once i get it all figure out and maybe tonight i can try some racing with them.

Re: Battle Bars & Bell-Tech 3" Springs Installed Pics

I have the QA1 coilover's in the rear of my Ty with 3"belltech springs and 1" blocks. It sits on the low side, perfect imo and doesnt bottom out. With the front coilover kit it rides/handles like a vette. Cant use the ATR rear exhuast though because the spring takes up to much room. I just have a dump off the muffler. I also have plans to use those QA1's you are using in the Sy, less expensive and dont think the Sy needs the coil overs in the rear with the less weight then the Ty.
