stock crank pulley

I need the stock size crank pulley and no auto store has it or can order it. Mine is a UD pulley and I want to get rid of it. Still trying to track down voltage problems so I want to rule everything out. Thanks

Re: stock crank pulley

I have one you can have if you pay for shipping. PM address. I'm using the underdrive crank as well and not having any problem. Did you check the large wire that runs to the battery?

It's just a six

Re: stock crank pulley

I had an underdrive crank & pully set on my 97 Silverado & it would not charge untill it saw 1000 RPM or there abouts.

Re: stock crank pulley

replaced the ends of the wires with new connectors. Have not tried it because I pulled the PS pump off to.
At 1000+ rpm it idles fine.

My TY was doing that too, but my alternator was going out. Put a new one on and it still kind of did it, but not as bad. Since the original owner there was like 3 alarms on it, so I had all that taken out and put in one straight wire ( I believe to my starter ) and that fixed it...Moral of the story...Do you have any "extras" or stuff on there wired up that shouldn't be?

Re: stock crank pulley

Dumb ? follows.... Are you using both the underdrive crank pulley and alt. pulley? If so that may be where the problem is, because when I used both I had problems unless I raise the idle to 950 rpm. Now I'm using the underdrive crank pulley by itself with the stock alt pulley and all is OK.

another theory too. I have lojack and an alarm. Thought about that too.

My co-worker has a 2006 Saleen Mustang with 2,000 miles on it with lojack on it. He had to replace the battery twice now because he doesn't drive it enough to keep it charge. :hijack: And he still won't run my Syclone even with the other Ford guy's egging him on. He keep telling them he not stupid.

Re: stock crank pulley

If I had my roush I would race a Syty. Even from a dig. Bet it would beat 80% of them on the street in a 1/4. Never would race one in a 1/8th, Thats just stupid. I used to spank z06 and vipers with it. It would beat mine, but I dont think I ever had my Sy at 100%.

Re: stock crank pulley

You mean to tell me you took a picture without cleaning it up first? :rotf: If I would have known this I might have clean it before I sent it to you.:rotf: By the way your underdrive looks smaller than mine.

That's much better grasshopper. :rotf: Do you have a measurement on your underdrive pully mine is 6" outside Dia and as I stated before I haven't had any problems.

I had to take the under drive pulley's off my truck because they don't work well with a 600W amp! I never tried just using the crank pulley. I wonder what the belt size is for a a/c delete w/ under drive crank? Not that bored yet?

Voltage still looking good?
Yep. idles at 13.8-14.2
voltage still bounces a bit when my blinkers are on. When I turn my light on it drops for a instant but rises back up. The best thing is my fuel pump is not affected no more by the slight voltage drop like before. I even have my 10" speaker blasting at idle and the voltage is good.... so far
