Re: Truck Collection Mesa Arizona

Keith and I were tracking down a '69 Hurst Olds while at the FAST meet this past weekend and the cars owner had recently moved from Mesa Arizona. He knew all about our trucks and told us the owners of Coury Buick Pontiac GMC have a warehouse full of Sy's, Ty's, GN's, TTA's and GNX's. Many are new and low miles, some are more recently acquired. Guy really seemed to know what he was talking about. The Hurst turned out to be a clone but it had the makings of a real nice car. Olds factory correct racing heads with dual quad intake, lots of the right options. Anyone know of a big collection in Mesa?
Building a Hurst Olds clone these days can cost just as much as the real thing. D heads selling for up to $5,000, air cleaners for $3,500, intakes for $4,000, etcetera. Now you can atleast get knock offs of the mirrors and the scoops, but based on what I've seen, the scoops are trash.
My dad has a 69' 442 convertible he's turning into a Hurst Olds convertible clone. (Rare, only 2 made.) Luckily he already has most of the hard to find parts from having owned two 1969 HO's before (as well as about 3 other Hurst cars and enough 442's to lose count).
As for that warehouse, that's just unreal. Just think of the profits all those cars will bring in even as little as 10 years.
