What safety equipment will I need?

OK, I plan on taking my Typhoon to the drag strip this summer and have never gone down the 1320' in my life.

What equipment do I need to pass tech inspection?

My Ty is modified pretty well (I'm guessing it will run mid-low 12s on a good tune) and I have relocated my battery into the rear.

Make sure your center caps have screws in them or remove them
make sure your battery is tied down (they usualy wont mess with you for not having a switch your not going fast enough)
helmet
working seat belt.
and a muffler if its muffler night

I Highly recomend a driveshaft safety loop, its works also in normal highway driving to..

Its usually, when U do those fast short burst on the pedal to "brag about your power" the joints breaks and if the front breaks the driveshaft can give U and airborne surprise or make your inside of the car like a "blender" mixin car and bodyparts to a mess.

I always put them on my cars when they got a highpowered engine in them, cause I also likes to "play" with the trottle :D

....Can't leak fluids (ie water/antifreeze overflow, oil, grease, tranny fluid, brake, power steering, etc)
-Propshaft and Driveshaft loops (while not always required) are extremely good items to have
-Working Selt Belts/retractors, helmet, long sleeves, long pants, shoes (ie no flip flops/sandels)
-Sometimes they want door handles (rather than electric openers/shaved handles)

First off, your truck should not leak fluids in the first place, lol. Also, on the long sleeves thing, I just put on my leather jacket to ride in style. Have fun!

Well you arent fast enough for a cage or roll bar but you will need a helmet, pants, shoes. With having the battery in a non-stock location you will need a cutoff switch that will kill the whole truck. Some tracks will let you slide and some wont. As far as driveshaft, propshaft loops arent needed per the rules unless running slicks or 11.49's but they are a good idea just in case

I've got the safety loops for the front and rear. (front unit works with stock prop shaft. If you have a Gilbert unit, the rear joint is too large in diameter to fit in the loop.
