AWD Dyno how many have been on one!

I was just on my first dyno with an untuned set-up. We got it after 2 pulls to make 505ft lbs @ 370 hp is this normal, does it sound like good numbers we pulled from 3,000 rpm to 5500rpm, 17.5 lbs of boost, non-locked up in 3rd gear pull.

I plan on using an AWD dyno myself next month to tune the truck. Our builds are probally the same. I will let you know when I get it done. That sounds about right IMO.

We just got back from the dyno, but there were 3 Talons there...my Typhoon isn't ready yet

Those numbers sound sick. Please don't tell me "it's stock with a bit of boost" !

When I put my truck on one I hit 305hp and 452trq with 18lbs and an intake, even had stock exhaust. Sounds about right to me

My friend owns the shop and since i hang out and help him all day with the dyno pulls he says why don't you run it and see what it does no worries.

Mod list,
stock 4.3 block with splayed billet caps
stock crank nitrided (rpm)
eagle h-beam rods, JE Severe Duty Pistons
Vortec ported and polished (flow matched) heads flowing 290
Ls1 valve springs, gold roller rockers, Custom ground Comp Cam
MPE Fab Headers, Stock intake and throttle body(ported)
84 Lb injectors, Big Stuff3 Engine management(stand alone w/wide band)
MPE Front mount intercooler Air to Air, GT35R turbo with Atr Downpipe & Tial external
TCS 2800 stall converter, full built Cottman Transmission 700r4

This was no where near tuned which we are working on installing 3.5 Inch downpipe and 60 mm wastegate.

Then i will be getting together with my Tuner Harry Anderson for some Highway runs!

I just looking to see what guys are running if they ever have been on a Dyno,especially a Mustang Dynamometer AWD Dyno.

The motor made 605Hp @ 630 Ft. Lb. on engine dyno
on 15 lbs of boost.

The truck @ the track has run consistent 12.0-12.2 4-5 times on 13.5 lbs of boost.
It did make one pass @ 11.9 on the same boost with good 60 ft time 1.73 @ 113mph but on the other runs 11-112mph.

Have not ran it since the noew headers, intercooler and higher boost. Still working on getting the alky kit set-up in the truck. The upper numbers are on staight pump gas and the dyno run was on 100 octane gas.

Nice, especially on just 13.5 lbs of boost. Im hoping for the same times with mine(if I got 11's Id be surprised but insanely happy) but Im going to be using meth and running plenty more boost than that.

I got mine dynoed a few years back. only to the rear wheels though. It made some like 350hp and 450 lb tq. (Stock turbo. Built engine.) I really do not know how the hp rate factors to the awd? I think it was dynoed on a mustang.

They are very accurate and load the truck just like it is on the street or track. Dynojet won't do that. People like the dynojet because it gives higher numbers usually about 10% more.

Yes Nolan is correct, Mustangs are the most accurate because they load a data sheet of your car weight aand it adds that load as he hits the start button to data log. He paid $80,000 to have it installed in the shop and he setting up session alll the time.

I would like to get a Syclone/Typhoon Dyno session if we have enough guys that wanna try there truck out. Its just like driving on the street. He will usually have T-shirtsd made up with our logo and his shop name.

Let me know, oh yea Don i guess you shouldn't come since your making what 900 plus horses you might break the dyno, Thats fine Tara can ride with me, i willl make sure i pedal it so you can stay close. Wow you might be faster then Ed Hess "NOT". Keep this up you might win Keyboard Racer of Year.
