I went to Autozone to pick up some cleaning stuff for the Ty.As I walk to the door I see this ricer Sentra with the hood up and a couple of teenagers gawking at it.I chuckle to myself.

Buy my stuff and head out to the road,and this lame little car is pulling out behind me,going the same way..So I ease out with my normal 15% throttle and head to the house.I then hear the violent buzz of 122hp @ WOT. So of course I ignore it.

This raggedy POS proceeds to blow by me with black smoke pouring out of the fart can exhaust.

I light a cigarette.

.....it gets caught at the next redlight where I am turning off. I slow to a creep, look over at this 18 year old tool with the 4 gold loops through his bottom lip and just crack up laughing and shaking my head.

No doubt I got OWNED.

Haha....Man, those Sentras are FAST! Why just the other day a kid in my history class told me his run's 12's with exhaust and intake.... :rotf: (I'm not kidding either)

It does get better though.While I was in the store a "friend" of mine (used to work with him until he became a crackhead,got fired,and ended up being a parts monkey) told me about this kid that works there with a Mustang.

This kid lives down the street from me.His dad has a newer Cobra vert.

..anyway he has this slow ass 90's something GT.I think it runs high 8's in the 1/8th.

My boy told me that this kid (Tyrone,only white guy I've ever met with that name) said he has beat my truck..Only problem is I will not and have not raced him because his car is slow,and I like him and don't want to embarass him.

He has rode in my truck,seen the DM files of 0-60 in 3.9 on 15 psi,but I guess it's slow because it's not loud.

I reckon I need to give that boy a lesson in reality.

my friend has the sentra R or whatever it's called...he has headers exhaust and CAI ...it was, it's acually pretty quick...not syty quick but for a rice burner i was impressed...might run some good times if he had the turbo kit on it...but it's way expensive at like 4g.

i spanked my buddies 2000 sentra in my dads 4cyl 5spd bright green 1992 ford ranger. but i guess the sentra is still fast LOL.

I guess there are a few Sentras that have swapped in the VQ and run high 12's. But it's at least 6K for the kit I believe, might even be 8K.

We coated a turbo system for a guy building an AWD early 90's Sentra. He's using an all wheel drive system out of some Nissan car that was never sold in America, and the SR20DET he's putting in it is supposed to make over 600hp.

The best thing is the last I heard he was going to keep it all factory looking on the outside. Reguardless, 600hp in an AWD car that weighs 2500 pounds soaking wet should make for quite an intense ride.

The insides of a Skyline GT-R? :dunno: All the ricers want it. Ive only seen one, and it was very clean and low key. But sounds like this guys car is gonna be nuts.

Wow, I actually own a 91 Sentra SE-R and it is a ton of fun to drive and its 100% stock for now.
They have a turbo motor that was sold over seas and they make around 200hp stock. N/A is 140 stock but you can get 170 with intake/header and adding some timing.

The best part is they weigh nothing, 2400lbs stock. The AWD is IMO a waste of money, it wont hold up to a lot of power. The SR20DE and DET are very effiecent motors and with stock LSD they arent bad from a dig. A boosted one from a roll would kill a lot of SyTy's here.

I still love my Sy more

I just dug into it, and I think he's using the AWD system out of a Pulsar GTiR, which is actually a shrunken down ATTESA system which is what's used in the Skyline.

From what I can gather, the ATTESA system is a RWD/AWD system instead of a FWD/AWD system like what's in the EVO/STI. It doesn't weigh much, and it appears with aftermarket parts they're one of the toughest AWD systems made.

As you can see the engine is transversly mounted so it has to be a FWD/AWD system as is the Mitsu EVO. as Where as the STI has a longitudinaly mounted motor (like ours) with a tranny that has drive shafts that come out on either side right behind the bellhousing.

Yes the Skyline system is unbelieveable when it comes to handling power, No the Pulsar GTI-R isnt the same, and it doesnt handle power very well.

Props to the kid who did the swap here, as it isnt a bolt in affair. basically the entire rear of the chassis is different.

I am also pretty positive that the SR20DET RWD version didnt come in an AWD system.And the blocks are completly different.

The best tranny thus far to hold the power in the FWD version is the tranny out of the 00-02 Sentra SE ot the Infinity G20.
