Re: Performance Or Stock Pulleys....
Re: Performance Or Stock Pulleys....
i guess it's a no go @ this point. sorry guys. it was at least worth the effort to try.
well i sat down today and got a quote on all of the material and tried to figure out exactly how much it would cost me to do 10 pieces. By the time i design, program the machine and set the machine up then run the parts my cost on a set of the pulleys is over $500.
some of the things that increased the cost of these pulleys VS the GN pulleys are
#1 there is actually 6 pulleys (an extra idler) instead of the 5 the GN has
#2 the crank, water pump and power steering pulley are significantly larger than the GN pulleys making the material cost go up about 30%
#3 the only pulley i can use off of the GN is one of the idlers.
#4 I usually make the GN pulleys in sets of 40-100pcs. when you have to divide the cost of setting up, programming and design of the parts by 10 instead of the 40-100pcs it makes the parts way more expensive.
after reviewing it, it is not economically feasible to make these pulleys especially since march already makes a kit. it would be foolish for me.
where would you like me to send these pulleys back?
I apologize for not being able to do these for you economically.
