Questions about Cruise Delete???

Hey guys, I had some questions about how to delete the crusie control. I tried to search and could not find out exactly what i wanted to know. There is a .5" OD hose that is attached into the cruise module right by the wiring conector that hooks up to the module. Where does that hose go and what does it do? I tried to follow it down and it dissappeared by the front passanger side of the motor. When i was changing oil a few days ago i saw that it hugged the block and wnet towards the front of the truck, and then i lost it. What the hell is it? and how do i properly get rid of it? Thanks, Paul Z.

Its a vacuum line and would need to be plugged or you can remove it from the main vacuum harness (I hope you have replace you original vacuum lines). The cruise control diaphram uses vacuum to hold the throttle body open. The ECM controls the speed by release vacuum or add more vacuum to open or close the Throttle Body.

Thanks for the replys but no, it is right next to the much smaller .25" OD vacuum line that goes to the ball. It is also taped together with the wiring harness that is running to the module. Thanks, Paul Z.

No one knows where this hose goes and what it is attached to?

Main Vacuum Harness that runs down the passenger side valve cover under the Throttle Body/Intercooler.

That hose runs indide to the cruise brake switch. It dumps the vacuum from the diagphram quickly when you tap the brakes, lets off the throttle quickly that way.

Just plug the hose to keep it clean in case you ever decide to go back or trim it back as far as you can see for appearance issues and forget it.
