What day was your truck built on?

Me and a couple friends were talking, while working on my GT. I mentioned to them that my truck was built on 10/28/91, & my friend jon asks "what day is that?" i reply "i dont know?" Then he says "you better hope its not a monday or friday truck" Then he explains to me that those are the worst days to have your car built. Because on mondays the employees come back from the weekend "Hungover" and on friday they're anxious to leave so they do everything half-ass. Then he starts bragging that his 03' Cobra was built on wednesday. "The Perfect Day".

Then I later found out my truck was built on monday :(

So what day was your truck built on guys?

How do i go about looking it up? Not that it really maters anyway since mine is currently going through a frame up, and going from a 2WD S10 to an AWD Sy-Clone. lol

Well my truck has the build date on the cab where the drivers door closes. Then i clicked the time on the bottom right on the desktop, and turned the calender back to 10/28/91.:lol:

Hmm i'll have to check if mine is still there but i doubt it. I'm pretty sure it was made in December of 86 though. (the cab) You got me wondering now... lol

I don't buy into the Monday/Friday date of manufacture. While I could see some addition quality issues on the Monday/Friday the whole vehicle isn't built that day. The engine, transmission, transfer case, rear end aren't built that day. SyTy are also more complex because PAS finished them and I am guess they didn't crank them out in one day like GM did.

My Syclone isn't exactly a good example but it was built be GM on a Monday June 12. It was shipped to PAS and recieved Wednesday June 14,1991. Between Wed and the following Monday June 17 it was finished. (My truck probably was mostly built on a Friday/Monday) That being said my truck had one front axle bolt that was loose from the factory. It was rusted in place out a few threads.

I don't know what my transmission is yet but my engine was built on a friday June 3, 1991. OK so I ended up with a half-ass -built Syclone.

Based on many factors I would venture to assume a majority of our trucks are Mon/Friday jobs. lol

No, I would figure that most of our trucks were built on a mandatory overtime saturday!

Tuesday, January 5, 1993...two days before my 16'th b-day!

How funny is it that GM built my dream truck two days before I was legally able to drive, and 16 years before I would own it!

PAS Truck #: 1163
Build Date : 10/02/1992
Day of the Week : Friday

nuff said :D

Maybe thats why my truck gets 25mpg on the hwy. It took 30 days to build it :rotf:. The date on the driver door is 6 / 91. This truck was built the same month that I was born.
